HLTAID001 Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation


CPR (Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation) is the combination of rescue breaths and chest compressions. CPR maintains the viability of the patient by oxygenating the blood with rescue breaths and providing artificial blood circulation with chest compressions until more advanced life support arrives i.e. defibrillator. It is recommended that refresher CPR training be completed every 12 months.

CPR Course Content

This course is comprised of three (3) elements:

  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident

Participants will be required to demonstrate essential knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform all tasks outlined in these elements.

Course Delivery Method

Face-to-face four (4) hour course: This course is delivered every 3 weeks on a Saturday from 8.30am. It includes both the theoretical and practical component. Please contact our office for group and onsite bookings.  The cost of this course is $55

UNIQUE STUDENT IDENTIFIER:   Each participant enrolling in a course will need a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number to obtain their certificate or qualification when studying nationally recognised training in Australia.  A USI gives you access to your online USI account which will help keep all your training records together.
