Certificate III in Security Operations - CPP30411


Bodyguard

Any person wishing to gain employment within the security industry in Queensland as a:

  • Bodyguard

To obtain a Bodyguard licence, you must successfully complete the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations approved training course.  If you have not completed the CPR component of the first aid training in the last 12 months, you will need to complete an additional unit of competency (*HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation) to gain the full bodyguard licence.

The units of competency required to be completed for the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations course are:

  • CPPSEC2012A   Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour
  • CPPSEC3003A   Determine response to security risk situation
  • CPPSEC3002A   Manage conflict through negotiation
  • CPPSEC3013A   Control persons using empty hand techniques
  • CPPSEC3007A   Maintain security of environment
  • HLTFA311A         Apply first aid
  • BSBFLM303C     Contribute to effective workplace relationships
  • BSBWOR301A   Organise personal work priorities and development
  • CPPSEC3001A   Maintain workplace safety in the security industry
  • CPPSEC3005A   Prepare and present security documentation and reports
  • CPPSEC3006A   Co-ordinate a quality security service to customers
  • CPPSEC3017A   Plan and conduct evacuation of premises
  • CPPSEC3018A   Provide for the safety of persons at risk
  • CPPSEC2014A   Operate basic security equipment

Course Delivery Method

Face-to-face seven (7) day course: This course is conducted every three (3) weeks, Thursday to Thursday commencing at 8.30am and runs for approximately seven (7) hours each day. This program includes a variety of training and assessment methods including self paced study (pre and post course). This course is required to be completed within twelve (12) months of enrolment.The training is delivered by instructors with 'real life' experience in the security industry. People without prior industry experience are able to participate in this course.

Costs

  • The cost of the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations is course is $1,195

  • For participants who have already completed the CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations course with Pro-System, the cost of the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations course is $750. Please call the office to enrol.
  • HLTFA311A Apply First Aid is included in the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations course however for participants who have not completed the HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation unit within the last 12 months will be required to complete this unit in order to be awarded the CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations. The cost for this additional unit is $25. Participants who successfully complete the CPR component will be issued a statement of attainment for this unit of competency.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations RPL Application fee:  $595
Gap units - any units required to be completed:  $50 per unit (up to a maximum of 6 units)


As soon as payment is received, a confirmation email will be sent with the RPL Kit attached for completion.This documentation must be completed and submitted within 2 months of booking.

Once your RPL application is received, an assessor will evaluate it.The assessor will then contact you for a face-to-face meeting to discuss their findings and clarify any other issues.


Please note that the RPL process will not provide you with the full licensing requirements. Under the Office of Fair Trading guidelines we are not able to offer through RPL the following units of competency:

  • HLTFA311A         Apply First Aid
  • CPPSEC3013A   Control Persons Using Empty Hand Techniques
  • CPPSEC3002A   Manage Conflict through Negotiation
