Security License Revalidation

What is Security License Revalidation?
If you hold a crowd controller / body guarding security license you are required to be retrained and reassessed every three years to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest techniquesand any changes to legislation. These units can be completed triennially allowing you to complete one unit per year over a three year period. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is not available for these units, read more. Revalidation Units Course Content

Manage Conflict Through Negotiation unit specifies the outcomes required to use effective communication techniques to manage a conflict situation. It requires the ability to assess security risk situations, accurately receive, interpret & relay information, adapt communication styles & techniques to varying social & cultural environments & evaluate responses.

Control Persons Using Empty Hand Techniques unit specifies the outcomes required to select & apply appropriate empty hand techniques. It requires the ability to use force in circumstances where there is a risk to safety of self & others. Competency also requires knowledge of the procedures for conducting an arrest.

Apply First Aid is providing the initial response, life support and management of casualty(s), to an incident and to other first aiders until the arrival of medical assistance. A First Aid Certificate is valid for three (3) years and the CPR for twelve (12) months.
Course Delivery Method
Manage Conflict Through Negotiation can be completed self-paced.
Control Persons Using Empty Hand Techniques is a face-to-face course approximately seven (7) hours. This course is delivered weekly alternateThursdays and Saturdays from 8.30am. It includes both the theoretical and practical component. This unit is a component of our Security Licensing Course.
Apply First Aid is a face-to-face course approximately eight (8) hours: This course is delivered weekly alternate Fridays and Sundays from 8.30am. It includes both the theoretical and practical component. For more information or to enrol in the Apply First Aid Course click here.
