Responsible Management of Licensed Venues


What is RMLV?

The 'Responsible Management of Licensed Venues' (RMLV) course is a mandatory requirement for licensees (if individuals) and approved managers. RMLV training may also be required for permit holders under certain circumstances. The RMLV course will provide licensees and approved managers with an appropriate level of knowledge and understanding of their obligations under the Liquor Act.

RMLV Course Objectives

  • Inform licensees, approved managers and managers of their responsibilities under the Act;
  • Provide a range of management strategies to assist in the responsible operation of a licensed venue; and
  • Encourage licensees, approved managers and managers to use risk management and self audit processes for the continued safe and responsible operation of their business.

Course Delivery Method

Face-to-face two (2) day course: This course is conducted fortnightly, Monday / Tuesday, and also on Wednesday / Thursday  commencing at 8.30am and runs for approximately five (5) hours each day. The RMLV course is delivered by a qualified trainer with 'real life' experience in the hospitality industry.

Online via video-conference two (2) day course: This course is also conducted fortnightly, Monday / Tuesday, and also on Wednesday / Thursday commencing at 8.30am and runs for approximately five (5) hours each day. This delivery method allows participants to interact just as they would in a normal classroom with the ability to ask questions verbally or type on the chat screen. This course can be completed without the participant having to physically leave their home or business. For online video conference requirements click here.

Successful completion of this course would entitle you to receive both an RMLV and RSA Certificates. Please contact our office for group bookings
